I know how you feel Tara, I cried the first time I saw CJ nibble on wood for the first time in several months. Yay for Sissy! :))

I was almost in tears when I seen it was her. Not sure if you caught the whole story on them or not, but man they were SO bad when I got them, I wanted to cry the whole way home with them. I am STILL trying to unstink her. She smells way better, but she still has a little odd odor to her.

But with her breaking her bottom tooth 2 times, having all 4 front teeth trimmed, she is one trooper. I didnt bother getting her trimmed when she broke it the 2nd time, and she seems to have faired better. But she did need the top ones trimmed, they were too long.

Does she eat on her own? I got this feed from the UK that is amazing, it looks like dog kibble and Dante my only chin that gets trimmed and does not eat a bunch of pellets really digs them, they are cruchy but not hard, even I ate them and they are not bad, I can send you a sample if you like!

Thanks for the offer.;D She eats really well on her own. She came here on Mazuri and we were going to try and switch them, since there is 3 of them on it that came here, but I decided they are doing good on it, so on it they will stay.

I think as long as she chews the wood she will keep her front teeth trimmed down. Here's to hoping anyway :D She LOVES hay too, and her x rays were stellar, so YAY for that!

Sandi, isnt it the best when we see them doing well! She doesnt have any other teeth issues, since her trimming other then they are brittle, and I need to get more calcium in her. I am just happy they are doing well. Did you notice her cute nubbin in that last picture, she hits me with it when I pick her up, the brat, but that is after she has yelled at me and then sprayed me repeatedly

Sissy is going to the vet tomorrow. She has an appointment to trim her front tooth again next week, but she has a swollen lip. I think one of the teeth either is rubbing her lip or she bumped it today.

I gave her metacam, a tiny dose, just to help aleviate any pain she may have from the fat lip. I noticed yesterday her one top tooth was long and the other short, and I noticed the one tooth she broke awhile back she broke again..... poor girl, I wish I knew what to do to help her chompers!

I will up her calcium intake, but her chewing will go back to normal when I get them evened out. That is what I had to do last time. Then she beavers wood. I would love to know what makes her teeth grow wonkey, she has perfect x rays.
