I swap out different chew toys between lava bites and wood sticks. It seems she is loosing interest in the wood sticks all together. A while ago I noticed she would just chew the bark off and leave the rest. Now she doesn't touch them at all.

Bits of lava bites were a hit for a while too but they seemed to diminished into another uninteresting object. A side note she loves playing with the phone book. Part of it is ripped and it curls up and every time she moves it the cover springs back. I think it angers her that she can't get it to stay, lol. So if there is something springy like that and chewable we might have a hit.

So now I'm on a mission to find toys that will re-interest her, lol. One time I bought these little wood boxes with a treat inside them from somewhere but I don't remember where.

I think Susan (AZChins) has a toy like that...

My chins love willow balls and grapevine wreaths as well as the wood chews and pumice. Do you have hanging toys? My girls love the hanging toys with the bells on them. I hear ding ding throughout the day and night lol. I make my own with Pet Products By Nature toy parts.

I got a bunch of wood toy parts from two people on the board with some chains to swap out the chewed pieces. I've noticed that Edgar is partial to certain types of wood and right now cottonwood is a favorite. I also got some chollo cactus and it held Edgars interest for a week but not it sits in the cage. I usually remove the stuff he's board with for a few days and then it's like a new toy again.

Edgar also prefers to chew the bark off and is pretty much done with the wood after that.

Fleury (my boy chin) plays with anything, but Sidney Crosby (my girl chin) is a diva and only plays with certain things. But, i did notice that if i give her loofa for a while, then give her some different shapes of wooden things, and then maybe some alf alfa cubes she is much more entertained. Just stock up on a bunch of different stuff and try giving something different every few days and then they don't get bored as quickly!
