I have a question - I will be showing some chins next weekend that I got from other breeders. Of course, I will be putting on the entry form the chin's breeders's brand name. So the question is, say the chin gets a first or more does the breeder get the breeder's points that add up for the year. It seems it is only fair that way because someone else bred the chin not me

No, a breeder gets breeder points for being there and showing their own chins.

You can show another breeder's animal but you just won't receive the breeder points for it.

Points don't add up over the year. Points are counted at a show that has awards for breeders. They only count for that particular show.

personally I think that is wrong. If a breeder is there and showing then I think all animals that win points bred by the breeder should count but 'who am I'

There is a maximum number that can be shown for breeder points. If I bring the maximum and you also bring my animals, how would that work?

The other issue is what happens to an animal after I sell it. I have no control over how it is housed, dusted, combed, etc. I had someone show one I sold them and it did terribly! It hadn't been dusted anywhere near enough, they manhandled it at the show and they pulled out half the fur combing it. They were given some grooming tips, so all you could do is hope the next time would be better. If that animal had been counted against me, it would have really bought down my average.

A breeder tries to bring the best of the best in his barn, which means he's going to try to bring all 1A or above animals. So yes, 2, 3, 4, and 5 place is obviously going to count against that breeders average for the day. If someone wants to go for the breeder award, they aren't going to get there by people showing all 5th place animals of their breeding.
