Show combs 1 - 2??

I would like to understand when do you use each comb numbers. I know the #4 comb is for rough combing, and then followed by #3 comb.

When do you use the #2 & #1 combs? Are these for around the head?

These combs are more finishing combs for showing/grooming. The teeth on them are just finer, and get out the loose fur that the others didn't.

I use a #4 for rough grooming and a #2 for finishing.

Thanks for the information. I only have used the #4 and #3. I haven't used my other combs for grooming.

The larger toothed combs, 3 & 4, are for rough grooming and getting out the old, dead fur. The smaller toothed combs are for finishing, more so on a show day, and you shouldn't be getting any more loose fur out with your fine toothed comb. I only use the #1 on show day.
