As much as I love my hair, I'm debating on cutting it and donating it to Locks of Love. I just straightened it a few minutes ago and it looks FABULOUS, but I want to donate at least some of it, I might wait til it's longer or not, I just don't think short hair suits me because I have a chubby face.

Does anyone have any short hair styles they reccomend or could show me? If I can find something cute enough, I'd whack it off in a heart beat. It took me over an hour to straighten it (Ugh.)

I also just cut my hair all off and donated to locks of love. I chopped off over 15 inches. I alternate about every 4 years between super long, straight hair, and a basically layered bob, but I like flipping the ends out instead of in. This is what it looks like:

Ooo Therese, that's very pretty. I had a bob at one point but back then I was still in high school and never really had time to straighten it so it almost looked like an afro. I was thinking about making waiting a little while longer, letting it grow a little more, then chopping off most of it. Back in the day I wanted to do dreadlocks but I just have a feeling they'd be more trouble than they're worth.

I'm in the same perdicament. I have SUPER long THICK hair and I'm contenplating chopping it off. I used to have my hair short and spikey in high school but grew it out. My husband saw a picture of me with short hair and LOVED it and wants me to do it again. I'm really nervous it won't look good.

You should probably talk to your stylist they could make some suggestions and show you photos. And remember it is hair and will grow back and you are donating to a good cause so it's something you can feel good about too.

is your hair naturally wavy?

you need at least 10 inches to cut off if you want to donate....

Goodness yes. Straightening it is a practical battle, I have to go at least 3 rounds with a straightener just to make sure it's alright. I can't keep it straight to save my life.
It's pretty long, I'm not sure how long though, my stylist said that it'd have to be at least 8" in a pony tail before I could donate, I just want it gone.

Shorter hair looks better with chubby faces if you know how to wear it and get the right cut. Trust me, I know personally! My hair used to be SO long. I had it to the middle of my back at one point of time. Now, I keep mine above my shoulders at all times because it looks a lot better and its a heck of a lot easier to manage. My hair is uber thick too, so it cuts down on shampoo and condition, because I used to go through a gallon of shampoo a month.

I used to have my hair in all different styles and lengths. I finally found my perfect hairstyle. It's a stacked bob. Short in the back and gets longer towards the front. I absolutely love it and soooo many people I don't even know are constantly commenting on it. I will have to take pictures of it so you can see.

I have thick curly/wavy hair too---and a chubby round face :p Mine looks best when it's between my chin and shoulders with long layers. I like to get some highlights in it (have red now, think I liked the blonde better) -- gives it dimension! I let it air dry--lightly towel dry after a shower, put in some leave in conditioner and some curl booster (either a cream or spray) put my head upside down and scrunch my hair, shake it like a puppy :p, then flip it back up.

I cut off all my hair a couple months ago, and it's already in need of some highlight touch up and a trim! Grows way too fast! And it's turning grey :(

I have natural wavy, thick hair as well. I always wore it long, down middle-backish.

This year I took the jump and went short. I have the front slightly shorter then chin-length and the back is short and spiked. I LOVE it--it looks great with my pudgy cheeks, too and makes my face look thinner.

I didn't have the guts to go from long right to short, and took baby steps so I could not donate. I am thinking about letting it grow out(my hair grows pretty darn fast) and donating it now that I love the cut.

I think I'll go in next week and talk to my stylist, have her to measure my hair and see if it's long enough to donate yet. If it is, I guess I'll be coming home with short hair. I'm definitely nervous...
But yeah, I'd love to see some pictures of everyone's hair styles so I can get a good idea of what I'm looking at myself.

I have very thick, curly(spiral like) hair. I've had just about every style you could have with it. I used to have hair almost to my waist, but then I chopped off 10 inches and donated it. I've slowly been cutting it shorter. A while back I cut it to my jaw. I actually liked it for a while, but now I'm growing it out again :p Anyways, maybe I'm just not picky, but I like a lot of different styles. For a rounder face, I think a bob would be cute :)

I used to have really long hair, down to my butt. I got so tired of fighting with it all the time, and now I have super short hair - short like a boy's hair cut. I love it and I get a lot more compliments than I ever did on the long hair!
