Hi everyone! I'm moving across the country to go to school in a few months and I have to bring my babies with me so I have several questions about shipping chins.

What airlines do you recommend for shipping chins?
I've seen the quality cage carriers, would any of those be appropriate for airline shipping and which ones?
Are the chins shipped together in one carrier or separately?

Delta Airlines ships chins. You will need a health certificate for each one. They will not ship in the summer months. I would call Delta Airlines to make sure and check restrictions.

Ryerson's carriers will work. Each chin will be going into its own hole inside the carrier.
Ex: if you purchased a 4 - hole carrier you can take up to 4 chins.

It's not that they won't ship during the summer, it's that the ambient ground temperature has to be above 35 and below 80 to ship. So if you're shipping from WA to Alaska you're ok. :))

On the health certs, if you know a vet see if they'll give you a bulk deal. The one I spoke to last year charged $60 for the first chin and $25 for each additional. Pets fly Delta Dash, there is a spreadsheet on their site that tells you how much it will cost. They ship by weight and carrier size.
