I've taken the plunge and ordered a Janome serger.Does anyone use this on their fleece projects?Any tips, tidbits of wisdom, etc???

If I remember correctly, fleece dulls the blades really quickly but don't quote me on that because I haven't used my serger in a long time.

I use a serger on all of my fleece items. It's so much faster! Just be sure to test the tension on some practice fleece, especially if you've switched from a different fabric. Fleece also tends to build up (as fluffy dust), so be sure to have compressed air to blow it clean now and then.

I haven't had any issues with the blade becoming dull. I suppose it's possible, but even after a few years of sewing fleece, I haven't had to change any blades.

Thanks for the input! It hasn't arrived yet,but I hope I can learn to use it.I've always heard that they are a little difficult to learn and I am at beginner/intermediate with my sewing skills. So pray for me not to break it!
