I have asked every where and I cannot seem to get the answers or I guess better word would be help that I need. I take my SATs on Oct. 9th so time is really crunching down, I spend over an hour with the math teacher at school trying to relearn all of my math. I was in a medically induced coma this summer for three days and I have lost some memory, I unfortunately cannot seem to remember most of the math that I was taught, it's slowly coming back but it's frustrating and stressful because I already have problems with math.

I really need helpful studying secrets that will help me retain the math easier or something that would be useful, I've talked to some really knowledgeable people on here already and I feel that I could get a lot of help.

I don't know if this would help specifically in the area of math, but have you tried flash cards? I can't easily memorize things or remember things, but for some reason going over flash cards a ton of times helps, for reasonably simple concepts anyway.

Yessss, :[ I have it's really hard to do flash cards with math especially since I can't do problems in my head.

I use flash cards for English though, and that helped wonders!

Thank you!

It just going to be trying, but see if you can get an algebra book and start from the beginning and just make sure you can do a few problems of each type before you try to move on to remembering more complicated stuff. This will refresh your foundation and hopefully jog your memory.

Do you have a TI83 graphing calculator? The only way I got a (barely) decent score was by doing "shortcuts" on the calculator. Go online and look up how to find solutions to problems on it. You can find a lot of solutions and graphing equations on it.

The school has them that I could possibly borrow, but I wasn't sure if they'd allow those calculators since they give you the answers a lot easier than regular ones.

No, you're allowed to have them. Every person I took the SATs with used them and they're on the list of the approved calculators. They're extremely helpful, I'd definitely recommend them

No one was allowed to bring calculators to our SATs. We were only allowed to use the ones they give us and they were EXTREMELY basic.

I wouldnt bank on using the TI's or Casio's. You need to learn the fundamentals. Besides half of the calculator work is putting it into the machine. If you dont know HOW to do the problem you wont know what to put in the machine.

Any machine that has any more "short cuts" than using your fingers to count is probably not approved and I wouldnt waste my time learning to use the calculator. Just learn the math. Then you can say you did it on your own with out "cheating"/"Short cuts"
