I was looking for a kitten 10 years ago for Mother's Day. A friend at work's neighbor had kittens living under the porch. Jody asked if I wanted one and I said yes. When it was time to get one they were gone! Another coworker mentioned her mother in law had a kitten she needed to find a home for because one of the day care kids was allergic. I told her I would take it. When I got there it was pouring rain. She told me she already had it boxed up and ready to go for me. After leaving and driving half way home I opened the box to find not one but two cats, nearly identical. They weren't young kittens, most likely 6 or 7 months old. After looking into their sweet faces no way could I only take one.

I have often called Sam "the barnacle" as he was always on me and by my side.

I have had a few cats in my lifetime, no cat has ever loved me as much as Sam.

I love you and will miss you always.

Sam was a beautiful kitty Laurie, and you know this comes from one who doesn't care all that much for cats. I'm very sorry for your loss, but also happy that Sam is no longer in pain.

Again, Laurie. Lots and lots of hugs to you and Baxter. He's keeping Lisa company for you, just remember that.

Such a gorgeous boy! It just breaks my heart knowing how much you will miss him. If all cats were loved just as much...

Laurie, I'm so sorry. I do know how much you loved him, and he you. I have had many cats my whole life but none compare to my Fluffy who was with me for 16 years, so I know how you feel. I had no idea a UTI could be so serious, and I think that many cats will have been helped through Sammy's story. Hugs to you, Stewart and Baxter

Sam was so beautiful. People that don't think that cats can love just like a dog, are oh so wrong.... Some of my very best friends have been cats.

RIP Sam.

Laurie, Im so sorry to hear about Sam. My heart has been hurting for you since I received your text. I know how much you loved him and he is looking down on you right now.

Ive never been a cat person but these pictures of Sam, especially the one with his leg wrapped around you is proof that there was true love coming from that cat!

((hugs))

Awww......wipes tears from eyes. I'm real sorry to hear about your kitty. I still miss my Spencer. He was a big boy too. His ashes are downstairs on a little table. I know its just his mortal body tho. I'll be with him one day.

Sending you the warmest hug. Sighs.................

I love orange cats and they seem to always have an extra scoop of personality. Sam looks so sweet and I am so very sorry for your loss.

RIP, Sam :hearts:

Laurie, he knew how much you and Stew both loved him and he couldn't have asked for a better life. He was given a loving home where he was allowed to attach to whatever part of your body he could get a hold of and he got to spend his entire life living with and loving his brother. You were an awesome mommy to him.

*hugs* The hardest part of owning pets is that we outlive so many of them. He'll have a candle on my altar this fall and one tonight so the family I have waiting at the Bridge will make him welcome and show him the ropes.

I love that couch blanket picture. He really does look like he just grew there. Barnacle Sam the Well Loved Pudder Tat. :)

Oh Laurie, I am so sorry. I just found out and feel terrible. I hope you are holding in and i'll talk to you soon. Sam adored you so much and he is now resting peacefully alongside Lisa. RIP beautiful boy.
