hey guys, keith has grown some peppers, hungarian, jalepeno, red hot, cayan(sp?) and i think another kind. well he wants some good salsa recipes. any suggestions, ladies? as you can see, he likes hot, so don't worry about the spicness.

I've got the Jason's Deli salsa recipe which is by far my favorite - the only salsa I can eat cold. I'll find it and post it. It just uses jalapenos, but you can use whatever.

I made some tonight:

3 medium chopped tomatoes
1/4 of a chopped onion (I used a sweet onion)
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
1 or 2 jalapeño or serrano peppers, stemmed, seeded and finely chopped
Salt to taste

Put all ingredients into a bowl, toss well and serve chilled or at room temperature.

I can make some killer salsa, it has even received compliments from born and raised Mexicans.
Here are the ingredients: *no measurement tho, cuz i dont measure when i cook. Just adjust the amounts by personal liking/taste.

Fresh peppers(hungarian, jalepeno, red hot, cayan) -the more variety, the better!
onion (red is the best)
fresh garlic
lime
vinegar (if needed more sourness)
sugar, salt, pepper
taco/burrito seasonings
cilantro
Fresh juicy tomatos (preferably not romas variety)

1. grill or roast or char peppers on a stove/oven/grill, until skin turn black n form blister
2. put charred peppers into container to further soften
3. peel off skin
4. remove seeds n ribs (if you dont want too much heat), and cut into fine dice
5. put finely chopped onion + garlic into a bowl with vinegar and lime juice
6. chop tomato. (reserve all juice)
7. chop cilantro
8. mix every thing together. adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, sugar, n taco seasoning
9. marinate overnight

Enjoy!!
I love the added smokiness from the charred peppers, and the added taco seasoning gives added flavor.

Thank, mochi. I'll let him see this one. He'll prob like it since it has multiple peppers and not just 1 or 2.
