Sad and happy at the same time...our 1st Xmas

I wanted to post this today. As it is exactly one year that we put our Whiskers down due to malo. My Angel woke up this morning and hugged me so tight, she let herself shed a tear for him but then turned to smile at our 4 beautiful boys who were all sleeping so soundly in their holiday themed cages. Here are just a few of Whiskers and Furry, his baby girl. Then a few of our new boys with all of holiday goodies...

My Angel on her 6th birthday in 2004, she got Whiskers, our first family pet as a present. I will never show her this thread as she will kill me with this pic of her, now that she's almost 12 ...

This is Furry, Whiskers and Chilly (who was supposed to be a boy) had a baby girl and now Chilly and Furry are living with my sister's co-worker and we still have visitation rights.

I couldn't find the original pic, so I took it off my facebook page, it's really grainy but here she is with Whiskers a few years later, this is when he was 1st showing signs of something being wrong with him but I didn't know what it was, I was pretty clueless before I found this forum...

Ok, here are the boys who are making us smile now...1st is their Xmas themed cage...

Thanks Allison! Did you notice that I covered the Bears fleece tube with the xmas themed fleece hammock you made? I just couldn't take their tube away from them but orange and navy don't go with christmas colors!

Don't think for one second I did not see that crappy Bear fleece covered by Christmas fleece lol! OMG Baby J is SO stinking cute!!!!! I think Baby Lisa might be "furrier" than he is LOL!

Other than the Bear fleece in there the cages look great! The chins are cute as heck! Angel is gorgeous just like her mom!

I know you're sad, but remember Sandi, Whiskers is waiting for you guys over the rainbow bridge!

Seriously, this is why I love the people on this forum so much...I was having such a rough day yesterday, especially in the morning, with my kids thinking about Whiskers and myself having a bit of a hard time as well, since he was really my buddy at night. Even though it must have showed on my face at work that I was sad, only one person asked why and after I told her she pretty much said "oh, well at least it wasn't Buddy our pug or a famiy member"!?!? So I log on to the forum and a pm pops up from Michelle asking me how I am and she didn't know anything about Whiskers. How bizarre is that but so wonderful at the same time.Thanks Michelle, you are such a sweetheart! :hug2:

Today is a better day! My girls are in the big bathroom with CJ & Pepper right now and all I hear is laughter!
