Awww! I've always wanted a ferret, but wasn't sure if I could handle their odor....

Pretty dog too, what kind?

they can have the odor producing glands removed...

Your ferret is adorable! I love ferrets. We used to have a rescued albino ferret who died prematurely from heart trouble. I would love to have another, but my hubby thinks they are trouble! lol.

Funny story, my hubby had a friend who would come over that I absolutely despised, and was afraid of ferrets. I would have the ferret loose, and when my hubby's friend was over, he would chase this guy throughout the house, going after his ankles! Only that guy! What a great ferret! lol

Ferrets sold in petstores do typically have their glands removed, and are spayed/neutered already.

They still have a musky odor to them, though. I love ferrets, have had several over the years but after my last guys passed I decided I can't do the odor anymore... Jason still has his ferret, so once she passes that will be it where they are concerned.

I haven't met a small mammal that is more fun, though!

Great pictures!!

He is descented and neutered, but still has a bit of a musky smell (the smell comes from the oils that their body produces to keep their skin from drying out).
The dog with him is Josie, she is a lab/chow mix. He is funny to watch and he can't help it that he's stinky!:(

Josie's gorgeous. And I didn't mean to offend you about the ferret's smell.... I know he can't help it. I just know around here, with two rats (and possibly a cat soon), we have plenty of extra, uh...aroma, ;)
