RODI water ok?

Hello, I have an awesome RODI unit (reverse osmsosis deionization) for my reef tank! I've heard rumors that because it's too pure it can lead to issues in animals! Like diarrhea and dehydration! I bought a jug of RO water from the store just in case! Im sure it's fine, just thought I'd ask before I used it!

De-ionize water isn't recommended for drinking water. DI water is normally for laboratory use. Drinking DI water in long term will cause kidney damage.

You need a drinking water kit that will tap into the r/o and bypass the DI, something like this for your brand RODI.
