Ringworm keeps appearing on my face and forehead and neck, could it possibly be from my chinchilla?

Are you sure it's ringworm? Do you have any other pets? Did your chin have ringworm or showing signs of it?

My chin does not have ringworm, i can check more throughly but i havnt noticed anything, and we have 2 dogs, and the doctor did diagnose it as ringworm

Dogs can have ringworm as well, do they have any patches of missing fur?

I would be very careful because you could spread it to your chin if she doesn't already have it.

No my dog does not and neither does my chin, well idk what they look like, about how big would the patches be because i cant find any... The only reason im wondering is because i have gotten 2 ringworms(one on back of the neck and other on forehead, and 3 weird bumps or raw skin on ears and cheek that i was givin the same medicine for) but my chin hasnt touched me in the spots i have it

Ringworm attacks hair follicles so you'll notice it as a bald, red, scaly rash.

Everytime you touch yourself or even touch your clothes you can transfer the fungal spores by touching your pets. Ringworm is extremely stubborn and hard to get rid of. Use every precaution around your animals. I'd avoid them as much as you can while you heal and use gloves when handling them, their food, etc. I would even go as far as to put tinactin or another antifungal in the chins dustbath as a preventative.

Ok thanks guys! Is ring worm on CHins REALLY visible though?

Usually ringworm, or fungus, is really noticeable on chins, because their hair falls out, and the skin is red and flakey. They also get very itchy and can scratch so much they make themselves bald.

Speaking of Ringworm, and how easily it spreads.... We have a pet store here in town, that has a dog running around with Ringworm. Customers come and go from this store. I was wondering if there is anything, anyone can do since the owners of the store obviously aren't?

Well some hair will fall out but that is probably because she gets stressed when i try to hold her or something but i dont see any bald spots, but could i be getting it from a chinchilla?

The only way you could be contracting ring worm from your chin is if she has ring worm as well.

I'd report that to animal control, honestly, especially considering how contagious ringworm is, and can be spread species to species.
