ringworm

Hi everyone i am very new to chins. My chinchilla is miss very little hair under his eye so much that its barely noticeable and his ear is a little crusty. I have ringworm on my neck now so i am starting here as far as what illness it may be. What i am doing is letting him dust bath every other day with a 1 cup of dust to 1 tsp ratio of flowers of sulfur as i have heard this will suffice in ridding the worm. Please give me any and all advice possible, it will be very appreciated. also when will it be ok to pick him up again when he wont be contagious because i dont want to start a cycle of the worm between the two of us. thanks again for any and all assistance.

I am not sure that is ringworm..is it scaly looking? If not it may just be a fur slip

no it actually isnt scaly, i looks as though it is just smooth normal skin

then it is probably a fur slip. It will take several moths to grow all the way back in

is there any way to be sure it was a slip?
