Yeah, haha my husband & brother/sister in law's all make fun of his mom about it.. Seriously, if anything is wrong with anything she recommends baking soda.. usually always helps, but its still funny to poke fun at.
I know what you mean about not wanting to get the poo mess everywhere, if you use some old jammies if you have any for him you can stop the poo from getting all over other than the jammies. Obviously watch him so you can change him ASAP after the fact before it gets everywhere. Then do the soda bath, cream & or powder. Out of all the methods & ointments we've used, air has been the fastest healer with the dabs of cream.
I hope you dont get sick too.. being a sick mommy is the worst! Its one thing to have to try making your little one feel better, but its another trying to keep them happy & healthy as well as yourself.. And SLEEP, oh the lack of sleep! Im not looking forward to kaidens next sickies.
Might i mention just for mentioning sake it could be worse.... Our f first case of the sickies with kaiden were on our wedding vacation to Jamaica... So, i had my sick baby on the plane then in a foreign country with the wedding day two days away. BOY was that FUN. I will tell you something though.. the mixed drink the pediatrician in Jamaica gave him worked like a charm. He was back to better in no time after that. It was an experience i will never forget to say the least. (sorry for my little story, but it could be worse. At least Remy is where hes comfy & feels safe.)
