Red Toes

I noticed tonight that Shell has a red toe on each of her foot. She is acting normal. The only difference I see in her is that she is a bit move loving. Should I be worried?

Cindy just keep a close eye on toes and feet usually it's nothing to be too concerned about. If you notice her biting at it or notice it bleeding, then that's not good. What kind of floor bed is she housed on? Wire? shavings? fleece? Sometimes the wire flooring isn't great on their feet.

Her bedding is all pine shavings. I clean it weekly along with a good scrubbing. I've never seen her biting or any blood. I'll keep watch. It will be another excuse to hang out by her cage.

The shavings are good--just keep a close eye on her, but most likely everything is okay. Maybe Shell is just looking for a good pedicure!

One of my chins' toes are also pink! I asked the vet about it she said it's normal. Kinda funny though. I guess if it's red that could be something else....
