I am getting Chilli's last xrays and current ones on a CD. I obviously don't have programs that read them, I think, so how can I open them or have them converted?
I saw a different vet at the clinic who emphatically told my that chinchilla's roots don't grow. HMPH.
I think I am seeing very bad things on his current set, but I am not sure, and she was singularly unhelpful. We are back to hand feeding him, and working on a cage design to make catching him easier. Tubes will not be in any location I cannot reach the little bugger!
The good news is that 8 months of metacam has not caused him any liver or kidney problems- we did a full blood panel on him. That came back fine.

Usually when they put the xrays on a CD for you, they include a lite version of the software that will open them. If they don't do that, some vets save the image as a jpeg. If neither of these things happen, I have the software on my computer and can open them and save as a jpeg.

I agree with Meanie. When my hubby broke his ankle, 2 different hospitals gave us a CD of the xrays. We decided to load them on our pc's at home even though one tech told us that it wouldn't open up, but they did!
