Greedo started quilling. He is 9 weeks old. I'm not sure when he started but tonight was the first I noticed. Tonight when we were hanging out I was letting him explods the couch and a quill got stuck in my hand. It didn't feel too good haha. But I can only imagine how he feels having to grow new ones. Poor boy. Is it okay to bathe them while the are quilling? He is dirty.

Absolutely! If you don't have it already, get some oatmeal shampoo/wash to bathe him with. Oatmeal can be soothing to achy skin. I use Aveeno oatmeal body wash unscented for mine.

I already have oatmeal shampoo for my dogs. Would that be okay or do I need to get something else?

As long as it doesn't contain any other odd ingredients, like flea killer, and is scent free, it will probably be fine. Watch anything that has a strong smell to it, hedgehog noses are extremely sensitive and some smells can absolutely drive them to the point that start to 'freak out'.

I have used things that were 'unscented' but they still had a strong odor, if you do use something and the smell starts to cause your hedgehog to act oddly, quickly give them another bath in just water to wash the scent away.
