Requirements are bring what you want to show. No pedigree required. Most people don't show less than 6 months of age becasue it's really hard for the judge to give an accurate assessment as they still have baby fur, aren't their adult size, etc.
Show cages are provided, but you'll need grooming tools. Most people are willing to show you how to groom if they aren't loaded with tons of chins to groom, but then you can watch them and learn that way also. There are some people who will also loan you the combs, but don't count on it. Better to have your own.
If you aren't a member of MCBA (which is the only one in NY at this time) then you have a higher fee than members do. It still isn't all that much, I think $5.00 per animal? AGain, check the show thread and that should be answered there.
