To answer the question aout the neutering of the dad, I was told more than once that once a chin is neutered you should wait a month before introducing him back to the mom. And that's what I did here.

You have no insecurities like your extreme medium ebony?

Extreme as I have always known means unique. The kit is all med ebony with the tip of his tail white. I would not classify the kit being a white ebony, unless his fur had a little more white, yes then he would be an white ebony. You have never heard of a chinchilla called extreme?

What I haven't heard of is someone calling a WHITE EBONY an EXTREME MEDIUM EBONY because it is, the incorrect classification.

If this is answered somewhere else, I apologize.
I was wondering when is it ok to put the dad (neutered) back in a cage with the momma and kit?
You should wait 6 weeks from his date of neuter to put him back with momma or there is a chance she will get pregnant again.

This thread has veered so far off topic as to be ridiculous. The OP was not asking whether someone has shoddy breeding practices. For that reason, rather than spend the next hour cleaning up this thread, I am closing it.

If the OP has any more questions, please feel free to ask.
