I am not sure if this is the right forum. I hope it is.
My chinchilla was kinda squenting her eye. I took her to the vet and told him i have had her for about a week and a half. He said the previous owner may not cleaned her cage enough and she had a slight eye irration. He gave me some eye cream. I put it on her she did fine with it. But she rubbed her eye with her paw and got some on her fur around they eye. Her eye looks alot better but the fur looks wet from the cream but when i touch the fur its dry. Not sure how to explain that. how do i make her fur around her eye look nice and fluffy again

Her eye will look like that as long as you're applying the ointment. It will come out with dust baths, but I would not give a dust bath until the course of treatment is over. If dust were to get into her eye, it could irritate it more.

She'll just have a nasty looking eye for awhile until the treatment is done. :))

What if a chin just slightly squints an eye? I've seen so many pictures of chins with one eye a bit more open. Kind of like your avatar (Smudge?), Stackie but to a lesser degree. Is that just a chin thing or are they normally hypersensitive to eye irritants or what?
