I got my 2 boys 3 days ago. I am pretty sure they have never had a hair ring check. They are still shy with me. They are friendly, but they are not comfortable yet. How long should I wait before I should do the hair ring check? Do they have to have hair ring checks? I never did this before, and I am scared to do it.

I wouldn't even mess with them yet. In all honestly, I have probably done 10 hair ring checks in 9 years. If I see a male messing around, I'll check, otherwise I don't. If you want to do a check later on, just to be sure they are clean, I would wait a bit until they are settled in, have some good nutrition going in, etc. If your one chin did have a seizure from stress, a hair ring check isn't going to help settle him down any, especially if he's never had one.
