pumice chewing noise

My girls share the same room as my office, so I am sitting here surfing the web and listening to Mitzie go to town on a piece of pumice... man the sound of her chewing pumice is like nails on a chalk board to me!! It sends chills up my spine! Does it bug anyone else?

YES! It bugs me. The thought of them chewing on the chalking pumice...grinding their TEETH on it... I hate listening to that, but they love demolishing it so much that I have to give it out sometimes.

I love listening to my boys chewing on stuff. I always give them wood/pumice right before I go to bed (my pets are in my bedroom) and the sound actually puts me to sleep. Haha.

Stevie has the ability to kind off rasp her teeth on the cagebars

she doesn't have teeth problems of any kind, she just loves doing it.

Oh...I don't mind them chewing wood...it's just that pumice crunch/chewing noise. It makes my teeth hurt when I hear it.

I don't mind wood, it is the pumice! Man just thinking about it is giving me chills!!

Actually, I think listening to them chew pumice is one of my favorite chew sounds. It just sounds like such a satisfying chew for them.

It's that CRACK, SCRAAAAPE noise. It's awful...just awful. I imagine crunching down on a flaky rock...oh...I just got that tooth hurting feeling just thinking about it.

Yes, I could certainly understand how it could be an awful chew sound. Thank God it doesn't bother me as it's one of my chinnies favorite chews.

does it sound the same as a lava bites if it does i actually surprisingly love the noise.

I find that regular pumice is different than the lava bites/ledges/etc. The lava ones are a softer version and are much easier to destroy so they do not have the same kind of crunch. Pumice does seem to be a little high pitched though.
