Protecta-Pad Cream - Good to use?

Is this okay to use on chin feet? I just want to make sure. My chinchillas hate the scent of bag balm. I was hoping this would be a good alternative and that maybe it would seem better to them.

Just use vitamin E oil out of a vitamin E capsule. Poke a hole in it, then squirt it onto your finger or their foot.

Is there a reason you're using it? I don't put anything on my chin's feet unless there's a reason.

How big of a capsule?

They just get dry and flaky looking. A bit darker red at times. I don't want to have any problems, so we want to occasionally use something to moisturize their feet.
