HI all...
Getting worried a nd stressed about my little ones, i know this has been discussed other times but would just like your advice and help regarding my 2 chins.

I have 2 males Nico & Bobo ( being the largest and dominant), they have been fine together till the other day. They were both out playing as norm, i picked Nico up and put him in the cage then bobo, as soon as i put bobo in he chased the other around the cage like nuts, nico ran into his cube so at this point they were face to face, bobo was on his hind legs trying to scratch with his front paws.
after putting a stop to this things seemed normal in the cage, nico was scared and doing these whimpering noises like a puppy scared.
I stayed in the room for a couple of hours to make sure nothing else happened, the only thing that did happen was Nico tried to snuggle up to bobo like they always do, but he shrugged him off a little.

I cam in this morning to see them and they were sitting next to each other but not cuddling up, i have been watching them for a good 3 hours and they have been doing this hissing noise and bobo had his mouth open whilst doing this.
I dont understand what's going and and ive been so upset to see nico sitting on his own, i dont want to give them up and i have been looking at a Montana breeding cage so they could be separated but be together. i am putting in a divider in the cage for now to separate them, is this it for their friend ship together or could there be a chance it could get sorted.

Once chins start fighting, they generally don't stop. It will tend to escalate over time. Many chins do very well on their own, so don't worry about that. I would get a cage that can keep them separate and be ready to take them apart if there should be any escalation in aggressive behavior.

I have a very large parrot cage that has been converted with ledges, I have done my best to separate the cage for now, but it is a smaller space at the bottom than the top.
I also noticed a small deepish wound on the smaller chins ear. Before I noticed this I put them out as norm for a run but the large one was chasing the smaller one, so 2 separate play times.
My partner wants me to get rid if the large one but I could never do that. I've found a breeding parrot cage with a sliding separator in the middle so they can still be near each other but it's to big. It's causing so many arguments at home but I will not give up on them, they mean to much to me.
Does any one know where I could sell my old cage, it's a Montana cage with a half circle roof. I need to sell in the uk but have no idea where I could list it???
