It was a decent action movie, marred only by the bizarre infant squalling during the ostrich races.

Wait, there's no infant in the movie??

WHO BRINGS THEIR INFANT TO A MOVIE LIKE THAT?? Fine, you can't afford a baby sitter - when the kid starts crying leave, don't sit there while it shrieks it's head off for 20 minutes, seriously folks.

I couldn't help but feel that it could have been an awesome action movie if Disney hadn't produced it. It just had that disney camp feel to it and I know the lead actor can do better. I didn't go in with high expectations so was pleasantly surprised.

It had previews for two movies that I do have expectations for - The A team and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I hate it when they do that. Get you all hyped up, then by the time you get to the movie you'd rather watch the one you saw the preview for.

My only other gripe was the friesian. Seriously, friesian in a desert... as a "fast" getaway mount. What is wrong with you people?? :D

I griped about the Friesian as well. :D It's Hollywood's "go-to" breed when they want something that looks cool. My favorite "bad use of a Friesian" was in the movie "The Mask of Zorro", when Anthony Hopkins' character describes Zorro's horse as a "black Andalusian". *facepalm* Though somewhat uncommon, black Andalusians are plenty awesome looking in their own right. If that's what they were trying to convey, why not just use, you know, an actual black Andalusian! :p

I loved that movie! Great story, lots of blood and fighting. it had a comic air to it at some points but the loyalty and everything smelled very disney.

Loved it! Kody and I went and saw it and it was great. :)
