Help me!!!!

I keep thinking about Kingston having a cage mate and how I really wouldn't mind cleaning all the extra poo.

O_O It hasn't even been a month yet, COME ON!!!

You guys didn't tell me the chin-addiction would kick in that fast.
I just like Kingston so much, I've never enjoyed a little creature so much~

bahhh

chinnie rehab links plz

I bought Turbo as a cage mate for Nibbler right about the one month mark myself. And I think you'd been thoroughly bitten by the addiction awhile before you even had a chinchilla. :D

I think you have to look at it realistically though. Your dad was hesitant about the one chin, how is he going to feel about 2? And there is no guarantee that your second chin will get along with Kingston. So how would he feel about having 2 cages?

And I know you're around the age of college, but I'm not quite sure how old you are, so if you go away to college what will you do with the chins?

Just something to think about. Make sure you have enough saved up for a vet fund for one first.

^_^ Ninjas you hit it on the freakin head.

:] I wont be getting a new chin, and if I did he wouldn't be with Kingston he'd be in a second level, I should have said cage-neighbor (I'd buy an add on, I've heard of too many cage mate mishaps). I am already going to college and living at home, when I move out I'll be taking him with me. (My parents live 15 minutes from my school)

I'm just commenting on how I've already thought about it and thought it was funny because everyone says you get addicted. No worries, I'm completely capable of controlling my impulses. Just sharing them :]

It'll get worse before it gets better - wait until you start measuring your rooms to figure out how many cages you can fit in each one!!
Or you have kits, and they're so nice, you just want to "grow them out" and the next thing you know, they're 2 years old!!
YOU'VE BEEN ADDICTED!!

Keep a close check on your addition cues....lol...I owned a chinchilla for 8 years before I broke down and got a second chinchilla.....in less than a year I now have 8 more ...lol...keep it in check or it will overtake you.....lol

Well, I got pookie in June, Roo in July (a month and 5 days later) Lightning in march ( of the next year of course) Moose in July ( july 14th again from the same breeder) and little squirt joined us on March fifteen a day after her dad's birthday.
I think I'm a little addicted.

It is addicting I got my 2nd 2 weeks after my first one but the 2nd one I took in was a rescue it's very very addicting though! lol

Well, good luck stopping the insatiable need to get more "puffballs"(kids call them that). I wasnt EVER going to get just one more, I got Snow about 1 year ago then she needed a "friend" so I went looking to rescue no rescues around so I went on the terrible CL and found Jose, a sweetie but a BOY so no friend for Snow , so now dilema both "NEED" a friend, haha now I am up to 4 !!!!

Addictedtochins Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa How sadistic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heeeeeeee

I am having the same problem.
but I have come to realize that I am not prepared to house two alone if something was to happen. and he has enough friends and people to visit him with me and my family and, I am just too too scared if anything would happen to him like a fight or if I got him a friend and something happened to him!.And I mean, they can be happy alone haha this is my thinking right now,we will see how long it lasts. I am trying so hard :) hahaha

ps; addicted...that think defs is not helping me keepy my thought process :p

Face it, your addicted already.

Raise your right hand and repeat after me.
"I Haley have knowingly admited on a chinchilla forum that I am an addict to the house beaver." Also known as chinchillas.
I cannot predict in the future that I will ever be able to attend a chin show and come home with empty carrier. I will attempt to keep one or two colors..........( strike that ) I will try and keep the color scheme down to a manageable level.
I swear its the truth, the whole truth, and God help me that I'll have enough space. :hilarious:

LMAO You guys are so mean.

Haley my dear, Even if we had told you you would not have believed us. LOL

Christine (Twilight Chinchillas) can tell you "sure come on over" and not warn you to wear a garlic necklace, carry wooden stakes and a cross, and say a prayer to whomever yoou pray to. LMAO

I started with 3 I got from her. Then I built more cages for a month before my first show. Then I came home and bought a couple wire cages to hold them till I made enough cages for what I bought at the show. (Went to the show with 3 came home with 13.)

Now I am converting a garage to move them into.

I quit drugs 16 years ago. This addiction is worse.:cry3:
