My chin just had a kit the day before thanksgiving. I've been handling her a lot since the day she was born to try to get her as used to and calm and comfortable with people as possible. I usually take her out 5-10 times a day, for about 5 minutes each time. What is the max amount of time she should be without mom in a single playtime session?

IMO, that's too much handling. While handling is good, the baby will get used to people just by your presence. Unless I am hand feeding a kit, I do not handle them more than once or twice a day IF that much.

I pull kits out once a day to look them over good and see they are eating well. Sometimes twice but I try to leave them alone. They really don't need playtime at that little they need to nurse.

That is way too much handling. All that time with you the kit is not nursing. Right now, nursing is the most important thing as she needs all of mom's milk she can get.

With a kit that young, if I handle them at all, it's once every day or every couple days mostly just to monitor them.
