ok so i need to find a place to have my chinchilla run around, i can do it in the bathroom cuz he almost got under the since and inside it, no can i do in in any room with carpet cuz he poops way to much, what other places r there?

Have you considered getting a playpen for him? I believe there is one for ferrets that comes with a bottom, which would make it possible to use a carpeted room if you are concerned about that (although chinchilla poop is relative dry and easy to clean up, and shouldn't damage carpet). You could also make your own playpen using large cardboard panels. You can order them from many shipping supply companies online, and you just tape the panels together. It's much cheaper than buying one, and they fold up easily for storage. You could use your bathroom, however you would have to make sure to thoroughly "chin-proof" the room (ie. covering the toilet, covering all wires, etc.). If he's able to get under the sink, it may not be the best place to play unless you can close it off some how.

The bathtub would be ok if you make sure to dry it very well; however, he'll probably be able to get out, so it may not be the most practical place for him to play.

I would suggest buying or making a playpen, like the other members suggested. Kunya used to poop a lot when we let him out for play time, now he is used to being out and he has fewer poops!

It may be a good idea to invest in a small shop vac. Chins poop a lot naturally, and there's no way to avoid it. Because their poop is relatively dry, it's very easy to vacuum up after playtime, and you'd never know a chin had been there.

chins poop. a lot. no matter where you put him, the tub, the bathroom, a playpen, he is going to poop.
my chin was able to get under the sink, so i just subcumbed and cleaned under there and made sure there was nothing he could eat. I just sorta made it like a play area under there. he loves trying to open the door and its part of his game. since you are in there with him why not just chin proof the whole bathroom, grab a book or video game and chill out and let him bounce all over you! thats what i do and then i just use a dust pan and brush to clean up.
