Hi there!

I've been a chin owner for over 10 years now. I always love seeing pics of other people's critters on these forums, so here are shots of mine (it's my first crack at posting pics to a forum in a long time - hopefully I don't just post a bunch of blank space):

This is Nibbler, the smallest of my girls. She's a little cave-dweller who drags her tubes all around the cage to make crazy tunnels that let her eat from her dish without leaving her "compound".

This is Sleepy. She loves to be next to the window sunbathing as much as she can.

Zira is a silly little critter who will roll right onto her back and fall asleep. I still never managed to get the camera quickly enough to catch her in the act though. This is as close as I've come.

When we adopted Nova, we were told she was shy and just liked to stay in the cage and get scritches instead o coming out much. After a year or so, she actually turned into a cuddle-chin and will sit snuggled up with me while I watch TV:

Well, even if I couldn't get the pics to load, the links should work so you can see the chinnies.

In order... Sorry about the junk in the first post

The last two links didn't take me to anything except your albums :)).

Cute chinnies. That little girl sunbathing is funny but she looks like she would be hot LOL!

Yeah, the last 2 links didn't work for me either. Cute kids, but I was thinking the same thing as JM.

Your album opened fine for me. Is that cage in the third to last picture built around that bookcase or is it in front of it?

Sorry again for making a massacre of trying to post pics.

A couple people commented about how Sleepy looks to be overheating, so I'll just copy the pm response I sent out earlier:

1. The way our apartment is angled, we get about 1-2 hours of direct sunlight per day. The way the chin cages are positioned, there is a nice sunny patch for them if they want, or they have plenty of cool shaded places to go and hide. Whenever it's sunny, Sleepy gravitates to the warm patch for her hour or two of sunbathing. Sometimes she stretches out and lounges like a cat (like in the pic you're worried about), sometimes she jams her little face into the corner to warm up her belly (like here). If she gets too hot, she goes back to the cool patches on her own.

2. We don't have a balcony, but instead we have a sun-room. I'm thinking that might be why you're worried about the chins being in an aquarium type cage (I wouldn't ever put them in one). The chin cages are up next to the glass wall that separates the sun-room from the rest of our apartment. While the sun-room can get fairly warm, the rest of the apartment is usually only about 20 degrees.
