I never noticed this until someone contacted me about a chinchilla I had for adoption on kijijji.com (is that how you spell it?), yet I have never posted an animal there. I looked it up, and lo and behold there it was. Upon doing further research I realized that petfinder.com posted it there. Now that kijijji is ebayclassifieds.com they are still posting ads there, and I am getting so many bull crap people contacting me. I don't usually post on classified ads websites for this reason.

This is the most recent ad that petfinder.com posted for my "benefit". Has anyone else been having issues since petfinder started doing this?

I've looked everywhere on the site and haven't found an opt out area. I emailed them and haven't gotten a response back, which is weird. They are usually on top of their emails...

Petfinder may not be doing it - the other site may be screen scraping their ads. It's very common, had it happen a lot with my horse then I'd get an email from this random site telling me my ad was expiring and I needed to pay. Bogus.

This happens with every single ad I post on petfinder.com though. Hmmm....

On the bottom of the Ebay classified ad, it says "Brought to you by Petfinder.com
Ad ID: 3322530" which is what makes me think this is something that petfinder specifically does.
