Pawing at Mouth

My chinchilla has recently begun pawing at her mouth and making faces when she's eating. I know this is a sign of teeth problems. Should I take her to a vet? Could this be anything else? She never used to do this, I've only noticed it more recently

Her front teeth are fine, I'm worried its her back teeth that you can't see

It might be a good idea to get x-rays and a full dental check up.

It could be a number of things including teeth problems. Could be as simple as something stuck in her teeth. Take her in to be looked at.

Agreed. Could be no big deal or could be her teeth.

I'd defiantly take her in to be seen. Better safe than sorry.

MaveRick had the same issue and it turned out he hand a piece of hay stuck in between his teeth.

My vet is closed, so I'm going to call Monday and take her in. I've seen it for a little while, but more and more especially today. I don't think it's a piece of food since it'd have been a while to be stuck there, but I guess we'll see! I'll keep you guys updated on how the vet goes.
