Id rather ask then assume on something like this. But if i covered my FN cage from the outside with fleece so they cant see out, for 10 to a max of 30~ min a day, would they risk over heating?
Chico has a heart murmur and seems to be prone to seizers especially when he sees his women. Their caged separately but next to each other. However theirs a large sheet of cardboard, (just switched to fleece) in between so they are unable to see each other.
But if chico sees her while she is let out to play he will have the same problem. And the cages are in the play area. So the only thing iv been able to do when they were coming out was to put my two guys each in a separate animal carrier and sit them in another room while the girls are out.
However my boys hate that. They do not like being pick up one bit. I have some extra fleece atm and was thinking of using a slab to cover the cage while the girls are out. But i don't want to risk them over heating. Would they over heat from being covered up for 10-30 min?
(They haven't been out in a long while since chewing my walls up, but I'm hoping new covering will take care of it. Since its been a long while tho i intend to start them off with small amount of play time in the beginning)
