Our new chin

We got Logan as a rescue a few months back. I wanted to get him a friend to play with and as things happen I ran into a family that need a new home for thier chinchilla. They just did not have time for him. So here is Tray (and Logan) Tray is 5 years old and a standard grey.

I did intro a few days back. We got Tray about 2 weeks ago and I am just now getting to pictures..lol

Congrats, they are both very cute! I would get rid of the edible log, it's not good for them. Just for future reference you should quarantine a new chin for at least 30 days prior to doing intros. They look like they're enjoying each others company!

I have missed having chins so much. 9 years of having chinchillas and then almost two years of being with out them was terrible. Hopefully soon we will work on getting a great small herd together again.

There's another breeder in MT named Jeni. She's in Missoula. Not sure what part of MT your from. I have family all over the Billings, Bozeman, Belgrade, Helena area. It would be nice to have another reason to head up that way more! Good luck as you put your herd together. The boys look great!

I was born in Livingston, and my Dad has desperatly been trying to get me to move back... My G grandma was from Billings, and of all the places I think I like it there the most. The weather isn't so harsh, and well I LOVE to shop. I'm a bit jealous though. We went up there in 2001 after my G Ma passed away and went to the thrift stores. There are some gold mines there, unless they all caught on like they have in Spokane, and jacked the prices up!
