The girls are home!!! I've been praying for their return for months!!! I still can't believe North Korean government let them go. :welcome3: HOME!!!!!

I hope this can open real communication between the US and North Korea.

According to Hillary, it does not. Basically this was a power play by the Korean government to force the US to give in to their demands. I'm glad we did it, because it got these two ladies out of a very bad situation, but it also forced us to be in a submissive role that I don't much appreciate.

I am thrilled, absolutely thrilled our journalists are home. I am horribly disappointed the spotlight briefly points to Bill Clinton as a savior. He is a man who bald faced lied to the America people. I despise him. I'm disappointed Al Gore did not step up and work harder to free these women as they employed by him and sent there by him.
Whatever the reason they were released I am so happy they are reunited with their family, and I pray their stay there was not one rife with horror.

I think that comes with the territory of being president, unfortunately. Politicians in general are dishonest people. Bush lied too about their being WMD and that has cost thousands of lives, while Clinton having an affair didn't kill anyone.

Whatever you think of Clinton, I think it was a brave thing for him to go rescue these 2 women, and I'm certainly glad they are home with their families.

I'm glad they are safe now.

I'm not sure why Clinton is brought into this quite like that, but whoever has such an issue with lying to the public better not have voted for Bush! ;)

According to the news, Clinton was sent because North Korea refused to speak with Al Gore.

I'm just glad they're back and weren't forced to serve their 12 year sentence. The whole North Korea situation is just screwed up..

Or our current president either..............:)

Let's stop at this point, before this turns into a political debate.

They're home, they're safe, that's good. We all know there's more to it than that, and we all know we won't hear anything about it until either the missiles fly overhead or our soldiers start shipping out to yet another destination.

I loved Jimy Fallon's take on it last night...

To paraphrase it a bit, "When Obama asked Bill Clinton to go to Korea, Bill was all, 'I'm really busy, my schedule is full' and then Obama said 'It's a trip to a women's prison'; then Bill was 'OK, I'm on it -- how can I help'!!!" :hilarious:

I thought that was pretty funny!!!

That comment about "Let's stop here before we turn it into a political debate" meant let's stop here before we turn it into a political debate."

Anybody else need clarifying?

And Lynn - excellent joke. :)
