"older" HH??

I have been interested in getting a HH for some time, and have the opportunity to adopt a 2 year old HH. He has been well taken care of in ways of food, housing etc, but not had much socialization/handling for several months. If I do adopt, will I be stuck with an unsocialized HH or is there hope he would turn around if I spent time with him? thoughts?

i think there is some hope but youre going to have to be very patient and willing to spend a lot of time working with him

Yes you can have some hope but you need to remember some hedgehogs may not change. I have had Needler for almost 2 years now and he still hates being held and actually will not come out if there is sound or a light on. Then again in 4 months he had been through 7ish home and was given to me in a small gift bag(like the type you would put jewelry in) and on probably the coldest night of the year. So you can see why he wouldnt be social.
