Old Cantaloupes. What to do?

So I have three old cantaloupe that are good for nothing but destruction. At this point I want to do something to make them blow up good! (I know, I am not very mature.) I have a lot of acreage in the middle of nowhere so I can figure out something really creative...I want to make them explode somehow!

I have no firecrackers, no M80s or anything. We don't have a water balloon launcher, that would be ideal. I have a .22 that I can shoot them with, but that would be no fun. I could throw them off of one of the little cliffs and watch them explode...or just go put them down in the compost heap and let the cattle do what they want with them and be an adult about it.

Any ideas? LOL Back in my younger years I would never let an opportunity like this go! I'm just losing creativity for it...I'd design a catapult device to throw them, but I am getting lazy. John is getting old, too, because he didn't even have one idea. I have THREE half rotten melons...and he had no ideas. Also, I don't want to vandalize anyone's mailboxes or anything...but I could throw them out of the car window to see what happens.

Hmmmm...I know the direction you're going there! LOL That wouldn't be too hard...maybe just poke one hole in the melon and go from there? I have some muriatic acid... How would I cork it? I don't know if it would work well...or if it would really blow it up!

I have some stories about this...but I fear that if I share them, I may be incriminating myself for past deeds...

Just PLEASE PLEASE be careful. I've had friends do stupid tricks like this and end up burnt for not reading the safety precautions and being very cautious. Muriatic acid may just eat through it, or maybe not it's not really that acidic. I'd get my hands on some Na+, fill the melons with water, then drop some Na+ in em. FUN

A giant sling shot would be pretty easy to make if you could get some big rubber bands... or tie a bunch together... I think you should do each one differently, and for the love of Sam... draw some faces on them... give 'em a little dignity for they go!

Yeah, I don't want to mess with acid or anything in the melons, I don't know how to cork it up so it would work and not just bubble out and make a mess. A shot gun is very tempting...that would be fun to watch it explode. The deer would probably eat the mess...

There's always the old toss it straight up in the air as high as I can and then watch it hit the ground!

Like I said, cut a hole in the melons - fill them with water - take a small piece of raw sodium and drop it in, back up 10 or so ft and watch

Tell him to go and look at videos on Youtube of Sodium or Potassium added to water I took 5 years of chemistry and my chem professor loved to give us recipes for destruction.

I'm trying to think of something with the cows and this. Maybe I could create some type of cow pinata game out of it? LOL Maybe suspend them in a net above their heads and see if I can get them to go after them? I'm toying with a very crude design for a smashing device for them, as well. hehehehehehehehehe I think I've been cooped up in the house too long or something...
