well, my adorable waldo the bald has done it again! he was scratching at his head i guess, and caused a raw, bleeding gash on his head. i took him to the vet and she gave topical animax (i think) and hexachloridine to clean the gash with, and in the mean time, to cover it up with some clinging blue gauze and a sterile gauze patch. i'm not sure how many of you have had to have some kind of bandage on a chinchilla but it's not a cup of tea keeping it on him. any ideas?
