Oh freak accidents : /

So today we left the chins during their sleep time to let them rest in the quiet like we often do. Well, I guess during one of their snack wake ups, Freckles chewed her apple twig to a very sharp point. She must have then layed on it in her little bed and nicked her ear on it. When we got home she had a tiny surface cut and dried blood that had dripped down her ear. Obviously there isn't anything that could have been done to prevent this, but it is times like these when I am glad we have our chinchilla emergency kit. We were able to put some blu kote on her and send her off to bed again : )

Glad it was nothing major and she's okay. There are just some things we really can't prevent.
