Not sure about the nutritional content, but personally I wouldn't feed it to my chins. At least it doesn't have all the junk in it like seeds and stuff though. I would go with something like PANR, or Manna Pro Sho rabbit pellets you can get at a feed store. They are cheaper and better for your chin. If you absolutely have to buy at petsmart, they carry both Mazuri and Oxbow now, so I would go with one of those.

Actually it does have all the junk in it, it just happens to be ground up in the pellets.

Ahh, yeah. Wasn't sure what was in the pellets.

ETA: Just looked at the contents on the site. It has RAISINS in it?? Now that just seems silly...

I currently get Mazuri from PetSmart but they charge $8.99 for a two-pound bag! I would order it in bulk but since I only have one chin, it seems a little silly to buy a 25 pound bag.

I'll check local feed stores for the brands you suggested. Luckily I live in an extremely rural area, so hopefully I'll get lucky.

Yeah, pet store foods can be expensive. We used to have them on Mazuri too, but 8 bucks for a bag that will only last a few weeks is alot. Some feed stores sell Mazuri in like 25lb bags so you could check around for that.

I currently feed PANR (Purina Advanced Nutrition Rabbit Show formula) and my chins love it. I think I pay like $15 for a 50lb bag. It lasts me quite a while...I actually have donated half the bag to the humane society when I first get it because I know I will not use it all before it goes stale

You can also order from many people on this site. The price is usually around $1.00-$1.25 a lb, so even with shipping it would be cheaper than buying at PetStupid.

Yeah, I usually order Mazuri from Chincessories but the shipping is always so much it's barely worth it. I've checked shipping quotes on almost all the sites around here and it's the same with all of them too. I wish someone lived nearby so I could just go pick it up.

While the shipping is high it's still a heck of a lot cheaper than anything in a pet store.

Either way, like others have said, you can always buy the 25 lbs. at the feed store.
