Night light on or off?

Hey y'all...Soon to be new baby chin Mommy and I was wondering...I know that chins are nocturnal so do I leave a little night light on somewhere in his room or a hall light by his room? I know I'm not supposed to alter the day/night cycle but not sure how much they can see in total darkness....Any help appreciated!

We have 12 hours of light with the other 12 hours in total darkness.

The first night mine cried so I left light on. But after that night I tried to keep it dark, and they were fine ever since. If you hear barking, you can try a night light and soft music. I have music on lightly 24/7 for him.

I'm with Jags. I do 14 hrs of light and 10 hrs of total darkness. They can see fine during the night.
