Hi everyone. I would like to introduce our newest member to our ever growing chin family. This is Chico. 2yo Mosaic male from a local MCBA breeder in Florida.

No it says 123 never seen a tag like that before. Usually it's a letter then 2-3 numbers.

He looks like a boy I sold down there couple years back. Thought it was him.
I agree. Majority will have a letter in front. No ranch letters in the back?

If not, might just be someone who didn't want to pay the extra laser cost to have the reverse side done. Or someone showed the animal at an Empress event that did not have the animal tagged prior to showing. So someone at the show offered to tag the animal with a blank. The blank only shows numbers.

I forgot to post that the other side of his tag says KANE on it. I have traced it down to a breeder in Kansas City names Cathy Kane but she has no website.

The lady that I got him from said he was a rescue. I guess they couldn't take are of him. He is a gorgeous chinchilla and has the best personality.
