Today I picked up some new treats from PetSmart and I was just wondering if they were safe. Like do they have to much sugar or anything else I should be worried about? The treats are dried strawberry treat things produced by Oxbow. They look pretty trustworthy but I was just wondering! If they are safe, how many should I feed my chin without getting sick or anything like that?

Its bad to give chins fruits, even if its sparsely given(I have a thread asking about them previously). Rosehips and wood sticks(make sure they are a safe type of wood for chins) are great treats to give your chin!

Chinnies have sensitive tummies and can't digest a lot of sugar properly. If you go with oxbow try their timothy hay cakes or anything made of timothy hay. Also, I agree with the post above they go gagaa for rosehips and other safe herbs. I order mine from chinchilla city...
