I moved my chin to my summer house today as well as into a new cage. The new cage has a similar layout as her previous cage, only it is slightly bigger. I kept the same toys (hut, food bowls, wheel, Etc...) so that it would have a similar scent to her and there would be as minimal change as possible.

After a few hours, she started making a squeaking/ barking noise, which she has never done before. I know some chins squeak when they feel threatened or scared, but i nor no one else was near her. (and she wasn't asleep) She has been doing it for about an hour on and off and I don't know how to make her feel better. I tried rubbing her and leaving her alone, but no luck.

Why is she barking and does anyone have any suggestions to make her feel better? I greatly appreciate anyones help!

Even though the cage you put her in is "similar" to what she lives in at your home, that doesn't mean she's comfortable there. There are new sounds, new smells, no sights. She will probably take a little time to adjust to that, just like when you first brought her home.

Just give her some time to settle in. She should be fine after a while.
