Jax Chinchilla Rescue
And a happy Momma!
My back is killing me, but it was for a good cause. I made two new cage sets for Riku & Roxas, and Axel. R & R have always just had mismatched items. Riku leaks urine, and because of that the cage just always looked horrible. On top of that, those two are the messiest chins I have ever seen. I bought some brown/polka dot liners from someone here who didn't want them anymore, so I went on a search at Joanne's this morning (knowing the fleece was 50% off) for something to match. I didn't find the exact pattern, but I don't think they look bad together.

It has always been so hard to clean the urine the long shelf in the back of the cage (you can see it in the first picture), so I made the decision to take out most of the wood shelves (except the small ones in front that I can easily clean) and put the FN shelf back in. I made "pillow cases" out of fleece for them, which are now changed out every cage cleaning like the bottom liner. Yay for now as difficult clean up! Also, even though the pattern is cute, I went with brown because of the urine issue. This way you don't see the mess as much (and the poo kinda blends into the brown as well!)
