Ok I have a new hedgie. She is supposedly around a year! I have no idea. she is smaller and Yes I did get her from a pet store! I know ppl don't approve ,but I care about her and thats all that matters to me! :bliss::bliss: so she is not HUFFY which surprises me since she is from a PET MILL of some sort and I am sure she was never held there! She as only bit me a couple of time ,but she seems to bit more at my nails and not to hurt me ! She seems to like to be under covers at all times! she seems to frantically search for something to hide under ! SCARED? normal? But today she has just been laid out in her bedding not under anything? normal? Its not to hot for her in her cage! When she lays with me she usually searches for covers to get under on the couch but she will lay with me ! as seen in picture ..if u can see it! also any ideas on how to fatten her up?

Any food switch should be done slowly so as not to upset her tummy. If you are worried about her weight, a vet check might be helpful.

Congrats on your new baby! She is CUTE! Did you name her yet? My hedgie likes to be undercover most of the time too. I think it depends on the hedgie. They have all different personalities.

her name is Rollitheanne ... aka rollianne! She is precious!

Yes the pet store will tell you they came from a breeder, but mills such as this are breeders too. Reputable breeders would never sell their babies to a pet store.
