New Ledges :)

So today I finally took the time to cut out and make some of my ledges for my cage. After doing so I started to question whether or not I did the right thing by make 13 of the ledges 7-1/4 by 6-1/2

Should the ledges be smaller than this? I know I must also make some of the ledges the length and the width of the cage but I just wanted to use these for some of the other jumping and resting ledges.

I don't think it really matters on the size of the ledges. The smallest one I have in my cage is 8" by 6"..so very similar to your dimensions. I have three this size then I have one that is 12" by 6" and then two that are the full length (one back and one side). I did have one smaller ledge but that is not being used to anchor my flying saucer down tightly. LOL!

It really won't matter, they will perch on just about anything. I have a handful of 4x6 ledges, some 5x5, and some longer ones. I also have some apple wood perches that are only about 1 1/2 inches wide and they will sit on and bounce off of those!
