My Texas rescue, Marcel, just came home last night and he's a little stressed out which is to be expected from what I gather. But I am having trouble getting him to eat his food. It is the same food that he's been fed since he was rescued from That Awful Place and he's a fiend for mealworms, so it's not an issue of him not wanting to eat period, just not wanting to eat his kibble. I know he cannot subsist on worms alone so I'm wondering if this is part of the adjustment period and how long I should give it before I get worried. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

He is gorgeous. Try putting some kibble in bed with him. Often when they won't get up to eat, they will eat if it's right there with them. Count how many you give him so you will know how many he has eaten.

Some of the people who have adopted Tumbleweeds have found they prefer canned food so it is worth a try too.

My Waylon from Texas ate great the first couple of days and then he started to not eat much and putting food in bed with him worked.
