While I was shopping at my local petco, I came across this brand of food...

http://www.petco.com/product/104849/Natural-Balance-Small-Bites-Ultra-Premium-Dog-Food.aspx

It's called Natural Balance Small Bites Ultra Premium Dog Food . I heard that dog food is a lot better than cat food, but on account of dogs being giants compared to hedgehogs, the kibble size wouldn't work. But since this is in "Small Bites" could you feed it to a hedgehog? And I didn't get the chance to actually look at the kibble, so it could possibly be a huge mouthful of food!
Anyway, has anyone tried this brand of small bites? Would it work for hedgies?

Well, it does look pretty good! The ingredients and fat looks good. However, the protein is a bit on the low side. I would say that this food would be ok in a mix but not all by it's self :)

Exactly. This is a newer food and I haven't seen the kibble size yet. Natural Balance is one of the better food producers at this time.

. However, the protein is a bit on the low side.

What is the recomended amount of protein? Is 30% okay? I just bought a bag of natural balance (cat version) and wellness and they were both 30% protien. Would that be okay for him to eat? Thank-you!
